* The Personal Mid-Year Check-Up *

When I am asked how I accomplish so many tasks and goals in a single year, my answer always includes the importance of conducting a thorough Personal Mid-Year Check-Up. If you desire a life of continuous productivity and significant living year-round, the Personal Mid-Year Check-Up must become a permanent part of your planning and quality living process.

I recall hearing Brian Tracy say, "A clear vision, backed by definite plans, gives you a tremendous feeling of confidence and personal power." Many people start the New Year off with resolutions and enthusiasm to accomplish each one. Unfortunately, over 80% of them run out of confidence and personal power and abandon their resolutions by June.

Why does this outcome happen to so many good people with good intentions, time-and-time again? The majority of these people feel that a new year offers a fresh start to achieve great things. Yet, they fail to sit down, write out, and plan their growth journey in vivid detail from the beginning of the year through achievement, which may include the second half of the year or longer.

Writing a single long list of all your resolutions is empowering, and it only takes you a short time. However, this does not provide you with a thorough and conscious way to make a full personal life check. To make consistent successful strides in your growth journey throughout an entire year, you must use a planning process that works. One planning process that has been very effective and reliable for highly successful people worldwide is to conduct a Personal Mid-Year Check-Up.

A Personal Mid-Year Check-Up is a self-evaluation process conducted in July or August each year. When done correctly, your Mid-Year Check-Up will let you know how you performed the first half of the year and aide you in identifying your goals and necessary action steps to work on throughout the second half of the year. Scheduling a Personal Mid-Year Check-Up is very important because it ultimately provides you with a fresh starting point for your second wind and boost of motivation as you continue working on your plan of action for the year.

There has never been a better time for you to learn and add to your planning process the effective strategies of the Personal Mid-Year Check-Up. In this monthly MOTIVATION e-Newsletter issue, we will help you strengthen your Mid-Year Personal Planning Process and actions to empower yourself continually to go after and capture your set written goals year-round. Our feature cover articles are filled with practical strategies that will show you proven ways to conduct a successful Personal Mid-Year Check-Up so you can refresh, refocus, and recharge your motivation to continue and finish the year STRONG.

Even in the midst of it all, the COVID-19 pandemic, protests, civil unrest, and any situation you may be facing right now — planning for and achieving your best life is both doable and rewarding for you going forward. The time is always right to create a detailed written plan today for the intentional creation of a brighter tomorrow!

The best way to restore your confidence and personal power during a period of uncertainty and anxiety is to sit down, get still, reflect, think, write out, and conduct a personal self-evaluation to help you identify 'Where you are?' 'Why you are?' 'Who you are?' and 'Where you are headed?'

So, here we go. Let's all pause long enough to conduct our own successful Personal Mid-Year Check-Up!
