Love is in the air! Do you see it? Hear it? Smell it? Feel it? And can you taste it, too?

Valentine's Day brings you a special opportunity to celebrate the love you feel for your loved one. A successful day results from practical planning and paying attention to the small details you know matter to your favorite person. It should be about spending time with your favorite person and not made complicated or stressful due to the global commercialization of this love-filled day.

Planning a practical and romantic Valentine's Day is something that you can research and prepare for, even if you lack in the romance department. Loving someone with genuine excitement is always beautiful and heartfelt. Seeing and making your favorite person happy—can feel like winning the world. Here are five practical ideas to help you plan, ignite, and capture the romance on this special 'Love is in the air' day!

Begin the morning with a rose.

If your favorite person is a working person or they have a busy daily routine, start their day with a sweet morning wish and a red rose. The rose and gesture will make them feel special and is just an incentive for what's to come as the day continues. It will also bring joy and anticipation, and their day will begin like that of a Queen or a King.

Plan a romantic movie night at home.

As this day is well-celebrated in the whole world, avoid booking any movie tickets or reserving a popular restaurant in town. Why? Because it will be a bit uncomfortable, you will feel herded and rushed, and any potential for romantic privacy will be disturbed. So, create a list of good movies and watch them at home with some flavored popcorn. Laying your head on their shoulder and snuggling as the two of you watch good movies is always a good idea.

Reserve a hotel room and order delicious food.

When you are planning to have a good time as the two of you enjoy the intent of being romantic, an upscale hotel with some delicious food and drinks can set both the mood and stage for romance. I know I stated earlier to avoid booking outside. Yet, if you are lucky to obtain reservations at a quality hotel, I suggest that you go to their excellent restaurant too, or for more privacy, order from their restaurant to your room. Cherish the beautiful night with a candlelight dinner followed by romance and cuddle time in your private room.

Deliver a surprise gift.

A surprise gift can bring a spark of romantic emotions in the eyes and heart of your favorite person. It is not needed to spend lots of money as it does not decide the value and depth of your love. Still, a well-thought-out unique and practical surprise gift can make the two of you happy. If you are buying a gift for Valentine's Day for a female, you can go to a jewelry store or the local mall to purchase a good perfume or oils. If you are going to get a gift for a male, you can buy a good watch or a nice pair of jeans and a shirt.

Schedule a romantic dance session.

If you truly would like to do something outside the box, something different and unexpected, you can arrange an after-dinner dancing session at a local dance studio or school in your area. Your special dance session will allow you to captivate your favorite person and create a few more romantic moments and memories for a lifetime. Think about that, what a unique and refreshing way to express your love to them. Learning to dance romantically feels good and can set the stage for what's to come later in the evening or early morning.

Of course, these ideas also work for date nights at home or out on the town, not just on Valentine’s Day. Use them as a good starting point for preparation and planning, but be sure to customize some parts based on what you know about your favorite person. Remember, it's the little things, your special creative intentions, and the caring details that perfect a relationship and help it grow into a romantic and great partnership. Keep these ideas handy year-round to celebrate the person you love the most in the special ways you love the most. Happy Valentine's Day!
